Job Description

We are currently seeking an Electrical Engineering II – Project Manager to work as part of a design team as well as independently to perform a variety of tasks requiring the application of standard design engineering techniques for small projects or selected segments of large projects. You will assist with the development and documentation of system designs from concept plans and technical design criteria. Assist the project team in the production of projects on time, within budget, and consistent with industry standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Assumes responsible charge for projects within the engineer’s experience and expertise; serves as the Engineer on Record (EOR) on assigned projects
  • Undertake electrical systems design, predominantly for building projects, including power systems, lighting, fire alarm and other signal systems
  • Design and calculations for lighting systems and associated controls
  • Prepare and review drawings and submittals
  • Create/prepare reports
  • Coordinates with local authorities, utilities, and municipalities to incorporate associated construction and government standards
  • Coordinate work with Clients and Engineers of other disciplines and provide input for operating procedures, and provide technical information
  • Attend meetings with owners, clients, or architects as needed
  • Assist in training, mentoring, and/or developmental guidance of engineers, designers, and EITs.
  • May provide input during employee reviews

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with 8 years design experience.
  • PE Required
  • Must have Healthcare Design Experience
  • Must have Project Management Experience
  • Excellent planning and organization skills required for our fast-paced environment
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, AGI32, SKM, and other technical software
  • Must be highly motivated, proactive and willing to take on new challenges
